Hi Heather - I do it both on dpn and rounds. I prefer doing 2 at a time on 2 circulars. that way I don't get second sock syndrome. However, it takes that much longer. I made the little one a pair that way, and have a second pair that i made one at a time. I hate seaming so, I try to do toe up as much as possible (I've made a total of 5 pairs with 4 single socks. For a pattern - check Knitty, there are some really awesome ones there.
